The Philip Havice Family of Mifflin County
Philip was born in 1779, probably in York County, Pennsylvania. Philip moved with the rest of his siblings to Northumberland County about 1798. An investigation of the deeds of Northumberland County may show his compensation for the release of his share in the plantation. He would not have made the release before he came of age. He married Mary Crissman shortly before 1800. The family moved from Northumberland County a short distance to Mifflin County between 1810 and 1820. Mary died in 1850 and Philip in 1862, both in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. They was Lutheran.
Of his children, one daughter, Catherine, ended up in Wisconsin.
A son, Henry moved to Ohio in 1862. The rest that we know about stayed in Mifflin county. |
