The Michael Hebeisen Branch of Cumberland Co.

Michael Hebeisen was born, probably in York County, PA, in 1771. He married Maria probably in York County some time before 1800. Michael sold the family plantation to his brother Abraham in April 1796 and moved to Northumberland County near his sister and brother-in-law Salome and Henry Kraus.

The family moved from Northumberland County to Cumberland County around 1804. Maria died after 1830 and Michael moved to Sandusky County, Ohio with his son John George in 1840, where he died in 1849. Another son, Michael, stayed closer to home in Cumberland and Dauphin counties. Nothing further is known of the other children.

Hampden Twp was part of East Pennsboro Twp until 1845.
