Abraham Havice was born, probably in York County, PA, around 1773-1775. Abraham married Margaretha Esther Müller, probably in Mercer or Northumberland County, 1800-1810. Esther was born about 1785. Abraham bought the family plantation from his brother Michael in April of 1797. In December, Abraham sold the land to his sister and brother-in-law Salome and Henry Kraus. He moved soon after to Northumberland County. By 1804 Abraham had moved to Mercer County in an area that is now part of Lawrence County. The family moved to Beaver County between 1810 and 1820. When the family lived in Beaver County they attended the Butler County German Lutheran Church, which started in 1822. Abraham died, probably in Beaver County between 1840 and 1846. Esther died, probably in Beaver County, PA, after 1860. Of the children, William, Michael, and Abraham all stayed in the Beaver/Butler County area. John moved to Indiana. Nothing is known of the rest of the children.

Beaver County The green line indicates the dividing line between Mercer and Beaver counties before the formation of Lawrence County in 1850. Franklin Township was formed from North Sewickley Township in 1850. The Harmony/Zelienople Lutheran Church is over the county line into Butler County. |
