Two branches of the Hebeisen/Havice family lived in Sandusky and Erie Counties. John George Hebeisen moved to Sandusky county about 1836. He lived first in Washington township and later lived in Green Creek and York townships. His cousin Henry Havice moved to Margaretta township, Erie county about 1862, with the next generation living in Townsend township.
The daughter of Catherine Havis, Elizabeth Scott, lived in Sandusky county at the same time. She and her husband Samuel Burr moved to Sandusky county in the 1840s from central Ohio. They lived first in York township and later in Townsend township.
