M.A. Krull
Fran,
Thank you for sharing your information. You have gone back further than I have been able to at this point. However, my parents attended a small Dutcher family picnic about two weeks ago and one of my shirt tale cousins has also been working on this...with different resources. Maybe I'll be able to clarify things.

The following information is taken from an LDS Ancestral File, which I have not been able to confirm. The death dates for David and Helenah (Ellen) Freer (Frair) Dutcher are taken from their tomb stones. John R. Dutcher, his wives and two of his children are buried quite close to David & Helenah.
David Dutcher b c 1782 in New Hackensack, NY (Dutchess County), m Helenah (Ellen) Freer (Frair), died 07/10/1843 in Liberty, NY (Sullivan County). Children (not proven) all lived in or near Liberty, NY
Abraham Dutcher, b 1803, d 12/22/1833 (child of David & Helenah per headstone)
Theodore Dutcher b c 1810 m Maria (Surname Unknown)
Seneca Dutcher, b 1822 m Rachel (Surname Unknown)
David H. Dutcher, b c 1824 m. Mary E. Stewart
John R. Dutcher, b 1824/25 m Emmarisa A (Surname Unknown) & Sarah
Ann Monroe, d 1897. His birth year varies depending upon source: memorial card date doesn't match headstone, 1850 census doesn't match 1880 census.

A slight mixup here. The Ellen that was married to this David Dutcher (b 1782) was Ellen Romer not Helenah Freer (who married the David Dutcher born in 1758).
I believe that David Dutcher (b 1782, m Ellen Romer) was the son of David Dutcher and Margaret Van Tyne. I got this information from looking at land records in Dutchess County, NY, but I do not have the info handy. You may want to check this out for yourself. I beleive that about 1820 or so, David & Ellen sell the land that was deeded to him by his father in 1815.
