My 3G-grandfather was Samuel Waldo Dutcher. Records in a family Bible show his dates as 12/19/1798-3/1/1884. He married Maria Edmonds (3/17/1800-1/3/1872) and they had 3 children, Lawrence W., Luzerne and Catherine Almira (my 2G-grandmother). I know that Samuel Waldo Dutcher was born in Washington, Dutchess, New York but I have not been able to determine his parentage.
I am fairly certain (but I lack real proof) that Samuel Waldo Dutcher is the son of Lawrence Dutcher (born 1733, son of Christopher Dutcher and Mary Belding) and Mary Waldo. The census counts look right and Lawrence is the only Dutcher in Washington, Dutchess in the 1800 census. I found a record of Lawrence Dutcher and Mary Waldo having a son named T. Waldo Dutcher in 1798. Could this be my Samuel Waldo Dutcher? This would also explain why Samuel named his first son Lawrence. I got a copy of Samuel Waldo Dutcher's death certificate and the parents' name section is blank. Ugh!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have:
1 Christopher Dutcher (1746-1832) m Mary Belden/Belding (1751-?)
Children: 1.1 Lawrence (? dates)
1.2 Silas (circa 1777)
1.3 Daughter (circa 1779, ? died young - undocumented)
1.1 Lawrence married first: Jane Nasse and had son Belden
1.1.1 Belden (1793-?) m. Maria Hurd, son Egbert
1.1 Lawrence married second: Mary Waldo
If this is correct, your Samuel Waldo Dutcher (12/19/1798-3/1/1884) would have been born five years after Belden Dutcher, and is certainly named appropriately to be the son of a Mary Waldo.
I have a problem with your date for Lawrence's birth (1733) - I hope this is a typo for 1773. Lawrence's father Christopher/Christoffel was born 1746!
