Subject: Morgan County, Ohio DUTCHERS
I have some Morgan County, Ohio DUTCHERS that I am trying to further my research on. The following is what I have so far.
Amanda DUTCHER
b.ca 1832 in New York possibly to a Thomas DUTCHER who was listed as age 66 and born in New York in the 1870 Morgan County, Ohio Census. m. James H. ALEXANDER > 19 December 1855 in McConnellsville, Ohio, Morgan County
Children:
(1) William ALEXANDER
(2) Charles A. ALEXANDER
(3) Harry St. Clair ALEXANDER (my direct line)
(4) Lizzie ALEXANDER
(5) Ida ALEXANDER
(6) Alice D. ALEXANDER
My direct line, Harry ALEXANDER married Alice Gerusha STOCKER and later resided in Tuscarawas County, Ohio where Alice was born and raised.
I am hoping to hear from someone who is researching the DUTCHER line that might have some connection to mine in the Morgan County, Ohio area. Maybe Amanda's or Thomas's name will ring a bell with someone. Also if anyone has any information on the ALEXANDERS from that area I would be greatful to hear from you too.
Thank you for any help or suggestions. Happy Hunting everyone.

I have DUTCHER ancestry but I
do not have very much to go on to further my research. My DUTCHER
is an Amanda DUTCHER who married James H. ALEXANDER on the 19
October 1855 in Morgan County, Ohio. There is a possibility that
a Thomas DUTCHER age 55, acording to 1860 Morgan County, Ohio
Census, was the father of Amanda. He was listed as residing with
the family when the census was taken. Also according to the
census both Amanda and Thomas were born in New York.
That is all that I have on the DUTCHERS. Is there anyone who is
researching the DUTCHER line who might have gone on to Ohio and
possibly settled in Morgan County or even in Muskingum County,
Ohio? If there is I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
Also if anyone has any suggestions on where to look next please
let me know. I have tried to locate death records/obituaries for
both Amanda and Thomas but haven't so far been successful.
Thank you in advance for any help anyone can provide.
