I have a Lydia Dutcher 1806-1870, married John C. Winne, Jr. Her mother's name was Mary. I don't have a first name for her father. She lived in or near Cherry Valley, NY. Does this mean anything to you?

Fran, thank you for the Dutcher genealogy! I know we have corresponded before and you sent me quite a bit of info. I'am still looking for my Dutcher's , so thought I would include everyone. I have a Lydia Dutcher b. 1806 in Cherry Valley, Otsego Co., NY. Her mother's name was Mary but I don't know her father's name. Lydia married John C. Winne, Jr. b. 1810 in Cherry Valley. Mary is listed in the 1850 census from Otsego Co. as living with John & Lydia. It lists Mary's place of birth as Conn. This is all I have! Can anyone help? Good luck to all of you!

Thanks to Ruth Owen, I have finally been able to track down my elusive Dutcher family! I had been looking for Lydia Dutcher's (m. John Winne) parents. Her father was Cornelius Dutcher and her mother was Mary Buck. Cornelius is the son of Cornelius Dutcher b. 1714 (m. Abigail Root) and the grandson of Roelof DeDutster (1670-1735) and Jannetji Bressie (1672-1749). I would appreciate any more information on my Dutchers.

Cornelius who m. Mary Buck must have died before 1850 because he is not listed in the census for Otseto Co. She is listed as living with Lydia & John C. Winne. Susan Dutcher (1785-1834) married to David Darby(1785-1835) had 7 children. My g. grndfather was one of these 7 children. Roswell W. Derby(1823-1915) Cherry Valley NY m. Mary Ann Whitcomb(1829-1916) The other children were David Darby, Morgan Darby, Almyra, Derrick, John and Susan and Rosewell. Looking for information about Susan DUTCHER.

Also Jane Dutcher(1743) m. Tunis Suydam

The parents of Susan Dutcher, according to my records, are Cornelius Dutcher 1762-1839 and Mary Buck 1766-1785. Cornelius is my 3rd gr-grandfather. I am related thru Susan's sister, Lydia Dutcher who m. John C. Winne, Jr. I have Susan's dates as 1793-1834. I also have Jane Dutcher, b. 1743, daughter of Johannes Dutcher and Chrystyne Sissim.
